LOOK CYCLE INTERNATIONAL has become aware of a potentially serious problem with the ERGOPOST 3 road seat post used on the following bikes (in France) and sold aftermarket worldwide as ERGOPOST 3 road seat post.
 
 
 

Look bikes equipped in France :	After market ERGOPOST 3 subject to recall :
2001 model year AL374 2002 model year AL384  2002 model year KX	ERGOPOST 3 size TS1 ERGOPOST 3 size TS2  ERGOPOST 3 size TL

 

These seat post were and are manufactured in Nevers, FRANCE. Some of these have the aluminium crown at the upper side poorly manufactured and some aluminium failures can happen.

This is a voluntary recall for the consumer safety and your cooperation with this recall is necessary and appreciated.
Please stop riding the bicycle and bring it to your authorized LOOK retailer for restitution. A credit or a swap for an equivalent seat post will be issue from your retailer.

WARNING: Failure of the aluminium crown could cause loss of control or a crash with attendant risk of injury or death.
